Jan Claas Bringezu

Managing Partner

With a training as a bank clerk at Commerzbank AG and a degree in business administration with a focus on “financing”, Jan Bringezu has been involved in various tasks and functions in the financial services sector for more than 20 years.

After working as a consultant and project manager for KPMG Consulting / BearingPoint and bankon Management Consulting for seven years, he worked as project director for a card payment service provider in London. Prior to founding OSTHAVEN GmbH, Jan Bringezu worked as an independent consultant and project manager and most recently worked as managing director of a consulting firm within the team neusta group.

Jan has managed large and complex projects in the banking and payment environment. The focus of these activities was and is the project management and management, business development, business analysis, cut-over management, compliance, organizational development and process management in the areas of core banking and payments (banking, cards, online and mobile).

When we three founders discussed the philosophy of our company as part of the concretisation of the founding of OSTHAVEN, two things quickly became clear to us. Firstly, we wanted to be a reliable partner for our customers in matters relating to banking and payment, and at every stage from the initial idea right up to implementation and stabilisation. Secondly, OSTHAVEN should not only be an employer for the colleagues, but rather a place of further development and shaping.
We consistently implement this philosophy. All colleagues are “on the bridge” in determining the course of OSTHAVEN. This is evident both in the thematic positioning and in the development of offers for our customers, and above all in our project work.
In our projects, we see ourselves as an integral part and not as an external foreign body that knows everything better. Companies and projects often need impulses from outside, but they only work together in a team with the employees of the customer. In our projects we see ourselves as an integral part and not as an external foreign body that knows everything better. Companies and projects often need external impulse generators, but they only work collaboratively in a team with the customer’s staff.

Knowing what it’s all about – that was the key point in our first considerations to establish a management consultancy with payment and banking experts in the market. We want to accompany changes characterized by regulation, consolidation and innovation. This is achieved through tried-and-tested and market-experienced employees who, with their methodology and professionalism, immediately generate real added value directly for our clients. In our view, this is inextricably linked to the well-being of our employees – a respectful and transparent approach is a basic requirement to deliver powerful results. This includes well-founded discussions as well as a modicum of fun. Spirit of discovery, willingness to change and a sense of responsibility are elementary building blocks of our philosophy. Making decisions and implementing them – this is what our employees and we stand for.

Henrik Büttgen

Before joining OSTHAVEN as a management consultant, he developed his professional experience in electronic payment transactions at GEVA Business Solutions.

Henrik was active in the commercial and operational management of GEVA and has focused on projects in bank payment transactions.

I enjoy working for OSTHAVEN because we all see ourselves in the company as supporters and enhancers of the client’s demand for solutions. This simply corresponds to my understanding of client advice, because at OSTHAVEN we advise rather than persuade. With the experience of all colleagues – to which we attach great importance – we offer a broad spectrum for the creation of a solution feasible for the client. The client recognises this very quickly and is convinced by our expertise, not by our unusual slide sets. OSTHAVEN’s consulting approach always demands direct proximity to the client and his needs, and this in combination with strong market knowledge of each individual employee. With a view to always being up to date, OSTHAVEN invests an above-average amount in its employees in order to develop them further. This quality benefits the client directly.

The first impression of being an employee of OSTHAVEN showed me, here is a team which pursues common objectives and thereby works as one and are truly mutually supportive to each other in any situation. This is a benefit to every single employee of OSTHAVEN and obviously to their clients. With highly specialised expertise and passionate about what they are doing they act as a unit and work target-oriented jointly with clients to generate added value. An ample portion of humour and creativity that complement the outstanding professional skills of every employee that turns to work at OSTHAVEN to something special.

Like most of the employees of OSTHAVEN, I first worked in a large corporation and later in a major international consultancy. There I enjoyed a great professional training, but also got to know about rigid structures and endless decision paths. Even before my first day at OSTHAVEN I knew all employees personally and everyone knew me; who I am and what I can do. At OSTHAVEN you are not just an employee, you are part of the company, part of the team. Everyone participates in the further development of the company, the client base and the solution portfolio – and every idea is welcome.

Patrick Fiebranz

Patrick completed an apprenticeship in IT payment transactions at Hamburger Sparkasse.

As an application advisor in IT payment transactions, he has developed into a project manager and team leader and expanded his expertise in banking payment transactions at an early stage.

In addition to his professional activities, he completed an apprenticeship as a banking specialist.

What is special about OSTHAVEN is the strong cohesion among colleagues, the flat hierarchies, the short decision-making processes and the unique expertise accepted in the market. The variety of projects and clients enables each employee to contribute his or her strengths to the team, to take responsibility and still develop individually.

Ralf Hesse

Ralf has a university degree in mathematics with a minor in computer science.

At an early stage, he focused on systems and IT infrastructures in payment and acquiring and held various management positions in the payment industry.

Among others, he was a consultant and project manager at Pago eTransaction Services and head of acquiring at KPS Payment, which provides services for Eventim AG.

The description “small but nice” describes our consulting boutique in a short but concise style. A team of internationally experienced employees that not only enriches with above-average specialist knowledge but also fosters team spirit with equal importance is both support and incentive for me to master the challenges of everyday working life. We not only follow the constantly changing demands of the market, we also try with foresight to master developing requirements/challenges with our clients. But only those who feel comfortable are successful – and OSTHAVEN as a team hits the spot.

The projects are characterised by really exciting and challenging tasks in which we actually make the difference for our clients. The team is characterised by technical expertise and methodical excellence; this is also necessary for the complex problems of our clients. The managing directors act with us employees on an equal basis and the corporate culture is characterised by a very human and absolutely professional way of dealing with one another.

Arrived!…OSTHAVEN does not think in classical hierarchical structures. Employees and managing directors work together as colleagues in a team in an open and trusting manner. OSTHAVEN operates differently than the classic consulting firms. We combine hands-on mentality, work quality and a healthy degree of pragmatism with curiosity and fun at work. To do this we sometimes take unconventional routes.
