Flexible fee logic in the existing system
In order to gain more flexibility in billing transaction-based fees, our customer was looking for a solution that could build on the existing system. The complexity arose from the fact that different message formats and types had to be read in, enriched with various information, and subsequently reported in a defined format. In addition, daily operations were not to be disrupted by the introduction of the new software.
The solution
Introduction of a flexible billing system
To meet our client’s requirements, OSTHAVEN sought a software provider that could build on existing systems and offer a high degree of flexibility in processing incoming and outgoing message types. We supported our client in the tender process for the provider and assisted with the selection and subsequent contract negotiations. With the official launch of the project, OSTHAVEN accompanied the introduction of the software and actively supported internal resources in managing the project. The billing system was tested according to the highest security requirements before going live and subsequently rolled out to all inventory dealers. The project was completed with the handover of the system to regular operation and the final documentation.
The result
New added value through precise billing
The successful introduction of the new billing system created the desired flexibility in the calculation of dealer fees. This enabled our customer to calculate various fees more accurately and, based on this, to carry out different rule-based actions. In addition to the original goal of the project, further use cases were implemented after the initial implementation to create functional and financial added value.
